The core activity of stow Group is the development and manufacturing of logistic solutions for the storage of pallets, small goods, long items as well as mezzanine structures.

In the last 40 years stow has grown from a modest racking manufacturer in Belgium to a global player in the storage and logistics industry.

They are continuously strengthening their teams that’s why they are looking for a dynamic Junior Project Engineer in Vlaanderen.

The function

The junior project engineer supports the foreign departments and is responsible for the projects assigned to him. The responsibility includes the development of cost prices, designs and optimal warehouse arrangements. He also acts as a liaison between the Senior Project Engineer, Stow subsidiaries and Work Preparation.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do

• Warehouse lay outing to optimum capacity/cost price and according to product specifications;
• Stability calculations according to the current safety and stability standards, valid for the country concerned (assisted by Senior Project or Static Engineer);
• Calculates the composition of components and calculates a correct quotation price on that basis. A complete technical description must also be prepared;
• In consultation with the head of Engineering, you determine the priorities for files in order to meet the deadlines for drawing up quotations in the department;
• He keeps himself up to date with the evolution of the market in terms of products and customer requirements;
• Communication with suppliers is limited to the technical concept. Price discussions take place via the purchasing department;
• Technical support to sales in terms of the technical presentation of the project;

Is willing to travel abroad.

The profile

We’re Looking For a Candidate With

• Master or Bachelor in Engineering (direction electromechanics, industrial design, …)
• 1 to 3 years of previous experience as a Project Engineer or similar field;
• Good knowledge of Dutch & English. French and/or German is a plus;
• You have a sense of initiative, you are stress resistant & dynamic;
• You have knowledge of stability & strength calculations;
• You have affinity with materials;
• Good knowledge of MS Office, mainly Excel;
• You are willing to travel abroad.
