The Digital Product Program Manager acts as a link between customers and John Cockerill. Software developers make digital products, and the Digital Product Program Manager ensures that they get into the hands of clients that want and need them (and that John Cockerill earns a profit). They make sure that the process of promoting the digital products and getting them into the hands of consumers goes smoothly.

The Digital Product Program Manager wears many hats. Some days, they are expected to be a marketing guru within the Marketing and Sales Team and manage ad campaigns to get the word out about the product. Other days, Digital Product Program Managers are the master communicator and work with clients to understand their needs. Other days, Digital Product Program Manager work with the Engineering and Development departments to ensure the good development of the Digital Product and that it fits the customer’s purpose. Most of the time, the Digital Product Program Manager is in management mode and oversees workflow between stakeholders.

Responsibilities Of Digital Product Program Manager Are
  • Manage projects leveraging agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Define and develop program structure, project requirements, creative scope, and information architecture.
  • Manage planning, budget, risks & opportunities and communication between stakeholders
  • Develop new commercial offers based on digital product and services with commercial, engineering, project and finance teams
  • Develop and manage communications promoting new digital products and services.
  • Interface with key internal and client stakeholders to define and lead digital initiatives.
  • Direct coordination with IT and Engineering development and QA on the testing and approval process of product peripherals and software.
  • Provide level of effort estimations and resource requirements in partnership with BA, UX, development and QA project resources.
