Job Purpose and Impact

The Global FIBI Automation & Control Program Lead is a member of the Food Ingredients and BioIndustrial (FIBI) Enterprise Smart Manufacturing team. FIBI consists of a diverse group of businesses delivering value to our customers including Starches, Sweeteners & Texturizers, Global Edible Oil solutions, Cocoa & Chocolate, and BioIndustrial. This position will work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the operations space including but not limited to, Manufacturing Technology, Reliability Excellence, Capital Excellence, Production Excellence, FSQR, EHS and Operations leadership to develop the FIBI Roadmap for deploying Automation and Control Solutions in our facilities. This position will work closely with global and regional subject matter experts as well as regional and plant deployment teams to develop and/or refine business cases, define approach, coordinate the planning of MVPs and develop scaling plans for products across FIBI Manufacturing facilities. In this position, you’ll be responsible for planning and monitoring progress of products in a coordinated FIBI Program approach. You will provide strategic vision, review project and product proposals with sponsors, process owners and subject matter experts to resolve timeframe, resource and funding limitations. You will ensure the deliverables of the program are met and integrated into the overall FIBI Smart Manufacturing Portfolio.

Key Accountabilities
  • Independently identify and resolve obstacles to developing automation & control solutions
  • Lead piloting and scaling of products across the FIBI enterprise while ensuring project capabilities, timeline, and budget are met
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external standards during program deployment using a global program approach.
  • Monitor and report on the status of pilots and projects including cost, timing and staffing.
  • Organize in partnership with regional execution teams project and product teams, ensuring aligned responsibilities, schedules and resource requirements to meet program objectives.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems and proactively manage risk. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends as applied to program goals.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field or 15 yrs equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Previous Project or Program Management experience
  • Experience working with multifunctional teams
  • Previous operations or manufacturing experience.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (travel may be international and could have peaks to support program needs)
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience Developing business cases
  • Previous Experience with Automation and Controls
  • Previous experience on global projects or programs
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective virtually working across geographies and cultures.
  • Previous experience with new technology implementation related to automation & control
  • Understanding of agile work processes
  • Multi-lingual
