We are looking for a versatile R&D electro-mechanical engineer with a substantial experience in electromechanics. Experience in mechanical conception of relatively complex assembly or of automate or machine controlled by computer at destination of qualified users is a plus. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to develop or improve products in line with the company’s vision and strategy.

Key responsabilties :

  • Electromechanical Design and Development:
    • Design and develop new laboratory equipment, focusing on innovative electromechanical solutions.
    • Modify and enhance existing devices in the market by developing new accessories, improving current functionalities, and resizing components to extend their lifecycle.
  • Component Selection:
    • Choose appropriate components such as pumps, actuators, motors, power supplies, fans, connectors, buttons, probes, fluidic elements, materials, feet, and housings, based on performance and cost considerations.
  • Documentation and Prototyping:
    • Produce detailed mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic or fluidic diagrams.
    • Develop and test functional prototypes, documenting each phase of the development process meticulously.
  • Manufacturing and Assembly:
    • Oversee the manufacturing and assembly of quick prototypes and beta devices.
    • Manage subcontracted manufacturing or design projects to ensure they meet specified requirements.
  • Production Transfer and Documentation:
    • Facilitate the transfer of new products to production, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Maintain comprehensive product documentation for future reference and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our product portfolio, ensuring we stay at the forefront of technological advancements and market demands.

    Deliverables:

    • Detailed mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic or fluidic diagrams.
    • Thorough documentation of the development phase, including testing protocols and results.

    Profile:

    Profile Requirements:

    · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

    · Minimum 2 years of experience in an R&D-oriented role.

    · Valuable experience in 3D printing and/or part machining (e.g., SS, aluminum, polymers, lead).

    · Pragmatic, curious, and with a taste for design and user experience.

    · Proficiency in CAD software.

    · Strong communication skills in French and English (B1 minimum).

    · Organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

    · A team player with a creative mindset, stress tolerance, and autonomy.
