Description

JOB TITLE:

Instrument Maintenance Technician.


FUNCTION:

Even though the position is within the Instrumentation Team, it is a bit atypical.
The position has the following aspects:

  • Security Support:
    • Computer Admin support for the Security computer network;
    • Support for maintenance of fences, cameras and gates, in cooperation with short presence contractors of third party vendors.
  • ICSR support:
    • Maintenance of maintenance laptops, PC’s, computer systems, networks, USB-sticks.
  • OIMS support:
    • Interface with EMIT for documentation, backups and USB exceptions;
    • Maintaining COD/Deferral teamsite.

The 2 previous technicians in this position were a very good match for this position because of the IT-skills.
So the company is not looking for an Instrument Technician as such, but rather a person with good IT skills, who is also willing to be involved in non-IT field activities like maintenance of gates and fences.


PROFILE:

  • A minimum of five years of maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing plant or offshore production plant.
  • Familiar with regulations applicable to the operations of oil and gas facilities, OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures.
