WHO YOU ARE

As a Online Merchandising Specialist, you are/need to have:

  • Passionate about understanding the behaviors of the many people, the Life at Home and current Home Furnishing trends
  • Motivated by increasing customer value, and thinking customer first
  • Energized by contributing to overall success and results through collaboration
  • Inspired by the unique IKEA range
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with an ability to prioritize and turn strategies into operational plans and impactful actions with simplicity.
  • Ability to keep a flexible, hands-on approach to responsibilities and to meet deadlines
  • Secure follow up and capture learnings on how to improve on a continuous basis

Next to that, you also need;

  • Formal qualifications in Marketing, Sales, Business Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Digital Marketing, E-commerce or similar experience
  • Good understanding of SEO/SEM

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Online Merchandising Specialist, you will:

  • Act as a member of the E-commerce team and proactively contribute to the omnichannel experience to achieve common objectives and goals
  • Share home furnishing knowledge with our customers by always bringing something new and relevant for the life at home. To make sure inspiration is well balanced and integrated in the online customer journey.
  • Responsible for planning and optimizing the layout of the commercial and inspirational webpages, to show the width and depth the IKEA range to support the seasonality and commercial priorities while simplifying the buying process for our customers.
  • Contribute to the customer experience and customer journey through working closely with Range Specialist, Content specialist and Home Furnishing & Retail Design.
  • Continuously monitor the market and competitors, to come up with new ideas and new ways to unleash commercial opportunities.
  • Measure and follow up with online tools on the performance of products and inspiration on our website by analyzing customer behavior.
  • Actively cooperate with key stakeholders to secure integration of all functions and key messages to maximize impact.
  • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate and contribute to the values of IKEA.
