Job Purpose:

Business Development role responsible for translating vendor/technology growth plans internally and to drive them in specific strategic segments. Aligned with marketing on MDF and with the wider sales organisation on specialised opportunities

Responsibilities:
  • Grow profitable market share by executing the Business Unit strategy in full alignment under general managerial direction
  • Negotiation of key tenders and large deals with in-depth technology distribution industry knowledge and understanding of hardware, software, services and solution
  • Optimises results by driving sales out of agreed vendor portfolio including new vendor identification, on-boarding and other business development initiatives
  • Orchestrating board level engagement activity that clearly addresses overall business objectives and multiple objectives.
  • Demonstrates a consistent ability to negotiate high level/high value customer opportunity engagements successfully.
  • Take solution and service offerings to market including TaaS
  • Ownership of quarterly vendor business planning and execution
  • Drives overall vendor management
  • Seen as a consulting trusted advisor in helping the customer to set strategic business objectives
  • Enable and help the sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share
  • Relationship and engagement with vendors and stakeholders to ensure Tech Data is seen as the “Trusted Advisor”
  • Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools to ensure best in class business continuity
  • Full knowledge of assigned Vendor’s product / service line
  • Creates high impact value propositions for ’C’ level discussions and decision making processes.
  • M aintains Full knowledge of assigned Vendor’s product / service line
Dynamics 365 Area Focus Skills And Experience
  • Experience with business applications, preferably Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
  • Experience with development and execution of international sales programs
  • Experience with recurring subscription business models and solution aggregation
  • Experience with legal contract negotiations and vendor management
  • Experience in driving organizational change, applying change management practices
Knowledge Skills And Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business development level, ideally from a sales or product marketing background
  • Able to articulate, persuade, influence favorable business outcomes in ’C’ level scenarios
  • In-depth technology distribution industry knowledge and understanding of hardware, software, services and solutions
  • Self-management
  • Skilled multi-level relationship builder
  • High energy and motivation
  • Strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling
  • Strategic planning and business case development
  • Experience of working within a matrix structure
  • Proven ability to self-manage in an external environment
  • Business planning experience with strong operational cadence
