Our customer, S-Biomedic, is a biotech leader in the skin microbiome space and a company of Beiersdorf AG. To support the S-Biomedic business unit based in Ghent, we are looking for a:

Senior Finance Business Partner

As Senior Controller you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, budget control, regular reporting, and general operational efficiency at S-Biomedic. This hands-on position covers a broad range of responsibilities, including finance, accounting, legal, human resources, corporate governance, and compliance. It is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative international R&D organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial controlling and overseeing accounting and tax obligations.
  • Preparation of annual accounts, management reports, and other financial statements.
  • Manage the budgeting process: planning, preparation, forecast, control, analysis, and regular reporting.
  • Supervision and control of human resources including labor law, labor contracts, payroll, social security, health and safety, employee benefits management, other contracts and agreements.
  • Statutory representation duties: represent the company in legal matters as per mandate from the Board of Directors
  • Ensure good corporate governance practices and compliance, support the Board of Directors and annual shareholders meetings.
  • Support other departments with financial and numerical input and analysis to facilitate decision taking.
  • Regular reporting to the Board of Directors and the Beiersdorf Group.

Your profile:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, and reporting, which you have preferably acquired in a scientific or R&D environment.
  • Experience supporting functional areas such as legal, human resources, and corporate governance.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgium accounting, tax, financial, and legal regulations.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and hands-on, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and are used to managing multiple stakeholders.
