The SLIMS software platform is an all-in-one solution that allows customers to trace their samples and integrate their instruments, including data lifecycle management. Our solution is currently used worldwide in labs ranging from small research facilities to big government institutions managing millions of samples and results. Key sectors include research, biobanking, pharma and NGS. SLIMS is a web application written in Java that is either deployed on premise or hosted in the cloud. Our solution is highly customizable and can hence be tailored entirely to specific customer needs.


As a Java Software Developer (f/m/d) in Ghent, Belgium or Lausanne, Switzerland you will be working with the SLIMS R&D team to design and implement new features with quality code that improve the core platform and store. Contribute your improvements and ideas; we listen to our team just as much as we value our customer input. If you are a graduate with significant experience, we are also happy to consider your application.


Key responsibilities

  • Be able tofix bugs andimplement features with limited guidance
  • Talk with Engineers to understand customer needs, and with other Developers to design and implement new functionality
  • Understand the general SLIMS core and SLIMS Store code bases and be able to enhance and extend any part of it
  • Participate in code reviews of large features
  • Focus on your core tasks and we reduce your administrative burden to the absolute minimum
