Job Purpose and Impact

The purpose of the Role of Supply Chain Planner (SCP) is to be the all-round specialist for all inbound and outbound shipping activity of one of the various Cargill plant facilities in (Botlek, Hamburg, Amsterdam), Izegem, (Riesa).

The SCP focuses on a time horizon of 1-4 weeks ahead of time in planning production activities at our plant in Izegem. The SCP activities are to be aligned with the long term planning horizon (Master Planning) and the short term planning horizon (Detailed Scheduling) in order to fit the weekly production schedule in line with the overarching Supply Chain Strategy.

The Izegem plant operates in a network of vegetable oil refineries, which requires weekly coordination of production volumes in a standardized planning cycle.

You will work with cross functional teams to monitor and resolve bottle necks within the supply chain, in order to meet high customer service standards.

In addition you will coordinate export documentation, including health certificates for exports by roadfreight and seafreight.

Key Accountabilities
  • Handle all scheduling, outbound and inbound planning for the Cargill plant location .Assist in setting inventory planning metrics targets.
  • Develop gap coverage plans during inventory shortages.
  • Network optimization within the linked multi-oil refineries to continuously drive success and keeping supply chain cost under control
  • In charge to execute and co-ordinate the entire range of logistics and financial administration.
  • The central point of contact for all stakeholders involved in case of service disruptions. He/She is also in charge of managing all elements around that disruption. (Communication/Meetings/drive and manage the adequate solutions)
  • Responsible for specific projects to improve Customer - Cargill connectivety and service level.
  • Will coach and develop Supply Planning Team members on day to day related tasks to ensure skills are at required levels.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor or equivalent work experience level
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is an asset

  • 3-5 years experience in plant/production and/or supply chain environment
