Primary DetailsTime Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee The role will provide primary support for Portfolio Managers and Senior Underwriters in the management of Major Clients accounts and in the provision of RM services to ensure business retention and acquisition is successfully delivered.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the Practice Leader in the promotion of the RMS strategy internally and externally to enhance QBE’s position in the market and in the creation of RMS Programme Plan & Structure
  • Responsible for Major Client Account management & Co-ordination
  • Responsible for management of major client accounts including setting up account activity, scheduling, Key site visits, reviewing programme structure /costing ,recommendations for follow up and interim reporting
  • Positively promote the department, division and company as a whole in order to maximize brand leverage
  • Manage the relationship, development and risk profile improvement for a significant portfolio of Major clients
  • Support the Client Champion as RM Co-ordinator on Major Client co-ordinated accounts
  • Supports and positively promotes product development initiatives and segmentation projects and solutions
  • Contribute to the expansion of RMS footprint across EO products
  • Participate in all relevant meetings in order to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice
  • Oversee the workflow process for client RMS activity via QRisk
  • Ensure the accurate recording of Risk Management data on the appropriate systems in order to produce appropriate analysis to monitor performance, costs and benefits
  • Provide the interface with London Market & National offices on Major Client RMS issues and provide expert technical support on Portfolio risks.
  • Primary contact for co-ordinated Major Client prospects with respective PCM Portfolio Managers and National Commercial Managers / Senior Underwriters & Schemes
  • Primary contact for Major Client prospects with respective Portfolio Managers.
  • Manage the relationship with Multinational accounts
  • Represent QBE at internal and external Industry and Trade Association events and committees
  • Managing the interface between QBE RMS teams and the client
  • Managing the delivery of cross class solutions and risk improvements
  • Support Corporate Communications Interface and Initiatives e.g. Technical collateral and media development, Internal and external technical seminars, Trade/Sector external sponsorship
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and understand what specific management information and statistics are required
  • Contribution to development and enhancement of the QRisk technology platform through stakeholder feedback
  • Coordinate RMS technical expertise in the development of Industry Sector products
  • Provide technical expertise for Major Client events and associated technical support collateral
  • Compliant of regulatory requirements (as appropriate) and Risk Management e.g. Major Client, processes and protocols
  • Participate in the review and analysis of the plan to identify progress toward business objectives
  • Motivate and coach team members to ensure the relevant knowledge and expertise is shared for their continuing personal and professional development

Preferred Education Specifics

  • Qualifications commensurate with the business needs

Preferred Experience

  • A good understanding of insurance technical terminology
  • Chartered Member of relevant risk management related organization or Industry body
  • Experience of managing and co-ordinating risk management support for complex, global organizations
  • Strong/established client relationships and networks
  • Significant experience in working in a Risk Management and/or quality assurance environment

Preferred Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of Risk Management practices
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulatory and statutory requirements applicable to the business area
  • Insight into industry hazards and emerging process risks
  • Good Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Good knowledge of relevant QBE systems
  • Pricing and Underwriting knowledge
  • Strong understanding of underlying causes of exposure and claims trends
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant market conditions for specific class/portfolio
  • Intermediate level understanding of relevant software including Excel and other departmental software packages
