Weare currently looking for an experienced Quality and Validation engineer to join our R&D team that is responsible for the design and manufacturing of sensor-based food sorting machines.

The challenge of the Quality and Validation engineer is a seamless product launch by designing and implementing the tests that ensure the functionality and quality of the machine.

This role includes defining and executing validation tests under supervision of the Quality and Validation lead. You will work in an agile environment to have validation closely aligned with business goals and drivers.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, we identify the following domains of focus:

  • Ensure the quality of the machine as a whole
  • Collaborate with various departments (development, production, support, product marketing and sales)
  • Be involved from the beginning of a development project to mitigate risks at all levels - requirements/unit/system
  • Define SMART goals for all aspects of a product test and create a test plan
  • Implement tests plans
  • Execute test plans to give feedback about quality during product development and release
  • Create test reports, deliver them to development team and to management
  • Detect and document issues, bugs and requirement discrepancies
  • Analyze test results, identify technical issues and their root cause
  • Work with development on resolution of issues
  • Support other department engineers in preparing demonstrations and/or investigating issues
  • Perform statistical analysis

The ideal candidate

  • 5+ years of technical experience in product development with proven track record in SW and/or HW development and/or testing
  • Proven knowledge of how to properly document test cases and create focused test plans
  • You are a critical thinker and a problem solver
  • You breathe quality
  • You are an empathetic team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • 80% physical presence in the office required
  • Experience in Python (or similar) for data analysis and scripting is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with industrial system testing is a plus

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering or another relevant field
