We are looking for:a Quality Engineer forour branch in Lommel.

As a Quality Engineer you are responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes within the organization. You will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing and improving quality standards to meet customer expectations and applicable industry standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Quality Management:

Develop, implement and maintain quality management systems and procedures. Monitoring production processes to ensure products meet required quality standards. Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Process Analysis And Improvement

Identifying potential areas for improvement in production processes and implementing improvement initiatives. Analyzing data and trends to take proactive measures to prevent quality issues.

Quality Assurance

Develop and implement quality assurance plans and programs. Coordinate testing and inspection of products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Cooperation

Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments to resolve and prevent quality issues. Provide training and guidance to employees to increase awareness and compliance with quality standards.

Documentation

Maintain accurate documentation of quality controls, test results and inspections. Prepare reports on the performance of the quality management system for management.

Customer Focus

Manage customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure customer satisfaction. Improving the existing product range together with the customer or developing alternatives and co-supervising new projects.

Project Management

Plan, coordinate and deliver projects for IPL Plastics and Tooling within specified timelines, budgets, risk management and quality assurance. You will play a key role in managing various projects, working with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline. Or experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality management within a production environment. Working with major FMCG type customers and standards
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards, methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and team oriented. Ability to communicate to customers internal and external capability and project based evaluations.
  • BRC understanding of food approval systems an advantage.

The role of Quality Engineer is critical to maintaining and improving the overall quality of products and processes. It requires a proactive approach, technical expertise and collaboration with various stakeholders within the organization.
