MES Quality Engineer SM-API

Location: Geel, Belgium

Roles and Responsibilities

As a MES Quality Engineer SM-API, your primary responsibilities will include the review and approval of Master Batch Records and Recipes to ensure timely production of our product portfolio of commercial APIs, while guaranteeing compliance with applicable regulations. This will involve:

• Reviewing and approving Master Batch records for commercial APIs
• Reviewing and approving Recipes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Writing and/or reviewing and approving relevant QA procedures
• Providing support for smaller optimization projects and tasks within the QA Commercial Operations team
• Fostering and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with Business and Quality partners

How to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong understanding of production systems and their operation. You will also bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, pharmacy, information technology, engineering,…)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Chemical and/or Pharmaceutical Supply Chain and/or Quality Assurance
• Proficiency with the PAS-X Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is required
• Familiarity with the Delta-V system and knowledge of API manufacturing are a plus
• A proven track record of working independently while maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
• A quality-focused mindset with a keen attention to detail
