We are looking for a motivated and eager quality engineer with a strong background in the implementation and follow up of food projects. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a nutritional orientation or in chemical / biological bio-engineering sciences. He/she preferably has knowledge of/and experience with HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO9001 or other GFSI accredited standards and experience in carrying out internal audits and inspections is a plus. He/she works accurately and pragmatically and has an eye for detail. The candidate is eager to learn and constantly strives for improvement and innovation. He/she can work very independently but also likes to work in a team. Being fluently in Dutch and English is a must, as well as thorough knowledge and experience with Excel, Word and Outlook.

What do we expect from you?

  • Your main task will be to assist in the preparation and follow up of new food biotech projects: you will coordinate the HACCP study to ensure that the pilot runs can be conducted in a food-grade manner and you will follow up the pilot run from a QA viewpoint, including communication with the customer.
  • In addition, you will help to implement, follow up, maintain and improve the quality and food safety management systems, so that internal and external audits can run smoothly.
  • You perform administrative support tasks in the context of quality and food safety management systems, such as: document management; maintenance of CAPA system; monitoring of KPI’s; organization of inspections, training and audits; management review; supplier quality management; ...
  • You apply the food safety and quality system on the floor and help monitor compliance with it.
  • You work closely with colleagues from different departments.
  • You work together with QA engineer-colleagues and under the guidance of the QA manager.
