For our site in Roeselare, where we produce flexible PE packaging solutions for both industrial applications ( e.g. petrochemicals, insulation ) and consumer products (e.g. frozen foods and drinks industry), we are looking for a new colleague (m/f/x).

Kwalificaties
  • You obtained a master’s degree in the field of chemistry.
  • You are communicative and easily create and maintain good contacts.
  • You are talented in carrying out technical analyses and offering insight into possible solutions/improvements.
  • You work independently, accurately and take initiative.
  • You are able to work in a cross functional environment, being a team player.
  • You have completed an initial work experience or you are a proactive starter.
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English.
  • The job requires occasional travel (short).

Verantwoordelijkheden

Within the R&D department, you are co-responsible for developing and improving flexible packaging films . You improve existing products as well as develop new ones. You brainstorm new ideas, take responsibility for a number of innovation projects and present these to the client . You also coordinate projects with your colleagues in production geared towards improving our current products . This starts with researching new or alternative raw materials or additives, contacting suppliers, supervise tests in production and evaluate laboratory results. You also provide technical support both within your own organisation and to our customers . This by visiting these clients to analyse their processes, test products and translate their wishes into concepts. You work closely with your R&D colleagues (US and EU) and report directly to the R&D and Improvement Director.
