We offer a position within our Life Science Team for a motivated sales specialist who is looking to take the next step in her/his career:
Regional Sales Specialist - Droplet Digital PCR
Field based : Territory to cover BeNeLux, less in France
Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION:
- Promote (marketing, sales), develop and provide technical support for the product ranges allocated to several countries in the region
- To ensure, at the request of the hierarchy, missions of prospection/support and market analysis on the product ranges
- Implement all actions necessary to achieve and sustain sales, quantity and awareness objectives for the product ranges in the assigned area
- Identification of new markets and management of opinion leaders (KOLs) upstream of action plans by the Sales Force.
Manage one or more countries in the region for all product lines.
MAIN MISSIONS:
- Develop the tactical strategy and action plans for its product lines to implement the strategies defined by the hierarchy
- Define, implement and control promotional actions related to its product ranges in order to develop them in terms of both sales and product awareness
- Establish and update market studies concerning product ranges: market shares, sales pitches, competition
- Support the sales force in sales support, if necessary
- Train and provide technical support to distributors / sales representatives on its product ranges when needed
- Ensure technical support and sales of product ranges in the field, in agreement with the Sales Managers
- Make price proposals, if necessary
- Develop and follow up of KOL network in emerging markets.
ORGANISATION OF WORK:
- Autonomy within the framework of the objectives set by the n+1
- Objectives defined annually according to the activity of the zone and the directives and priorities given by the hierarchy
- Compliance with general company procedures.
External Bio-Rad: Distributors and Customers, the Sales Force, and Authorities of the Assigned Countries
- Provide technical and scientific product support, to cooperate, to transfer know-how
- Advise, make recommendations to optimise the work of others
- To negotiate on contracts in the field with the sales force.
- Exchange, provide explanation, co-operate with Bio-Rad internal services (marketing, services, finance, customer service, CTX….)
Education (type/levels) and Speciality
- 4 years of higher education in molecular biology, biochemistry or biotechnology, ideally complemented by a commercial training course such as a business school or a Master’s degree in Marketing Sales
- Previous professional experience required: 3 years successful experience in sales or marketing in the field of research and biotechnology
- Technical and/or scientific: Molecular biology. Marketing, sales Level: Experience and proven technicality
- Products : Reagents and bio-research equipment Level of knowledge: Knowing how to present products, argue on technical characteristics, build up product arguments

- Pedagogical and convincing skills in non-hierarchical situations
- Train distributors and sales staff.
