We are currently looking for a Resource Manager to work at our Headquarters in the city of Wavre, Belgium.
The key person will be responsible to lead and manage the allocation of resources to meet project demands, so as to maximise resource productivity, enable contingency planning and ensure successful business delivery across RHEA Group’s Regional Operations. This position will have a leading role in mapping capabilities and skills across the organisation, identifying skills gaps and opportunities for cross company development and training.
Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
- Being responsible for the end-to-end process of resource management and planning.
- Guardian of the Resourcing/workforce planning database. Ensuring project planning and forecasting for resources is included and updated in the system.
- Processing resource requests as per the resourcing internal process.
- 1st line decision making on resource allocation, when resources over allocated.
- Having a view of the resource utilisation, future planning and loading of projects and required skillsets.
- Identifying future skills shortages, supporting the business in workarounds and discussing training of current workforce with the Businesses.
- Participating to large bids and supporting recruitment in identifying internal resources for new projects and/or demonstrating RHEA’s capability in tenders.
- Chair of resourcing meetings held weekly with each business, reviewing project requirements, anomalies, contingency planning etc
- Maintaining a close relationship with recruitment, tracking open positions, supporting in job descriptions, and identifying key skills
- Aligning RHEA Group resourcing and Capability planning with the Company strategy. Identifying future skill requirements and capacity planning, producing annual resource plans.
- Coordination of projects for Interns / Graduates across the group, working with Human Resources and Recruitment in defining projects, rotation of students across the businesses and identifying supervisors.
- Being member of the RHEA Group Operations team, providing support to cross group initiatives.
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- University qualification in a technical or science discipline. Alternatively, a Management education with a good technical understanding.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the space industry.
- Good understanding of the phases of a space mission.
- Experience in leading (or in being a senior member of) a project team delivering projects/services to European Institutions and/or Industry.
- Proven experience working with different project management methodologies.
- Ability to work in a multi-national environment.
- Action oriented attitude, showing creativity in problem solving.
- Capability of building relationships of trust at all levels of an organisation, establishing strong peer relationships.
- Being comfortable in dealing with Ambiguity, having the perseverance to find solutions.
- Natural curiosity to learn.
- Strong planning and organising skills, process oriented attitude and ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Passion for Space.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; another European language is an advantage.
