Job description:

We have an opportunity for a Junior Communications Technician/Engineer to work with the Satellite Engineering team in charge of the design and development of satellite solutions. This opportunity is based in our teleport in Belgium.

As a Junior Technician/Engineer, you will work in a challenging environment using the latest and most innovative satellite communication equipment and solutions.
You will get appropriate in-house training on the satellite communications environment, link budgeting, satellite communications technology such as DAMA, DVBS2, Carrier in Carrier technology, internal monitoring systems, facility equipment such as UPS, power systems, air conditioning, etc...
You will also be trained to work in an ISO 9000/50000 and SAFe Agile environment.

Functional Description of Satellite Engineering:

- Teleport management and operation
- Maintenance of facilities and datacenter.
- Service provisioning and operational support
- Proactive link monitoring and customer support with 24/7 on-call service
- Satellite capacity and bandwidth management
- Collaboration with the sales/presales department on solutions, offers and design.



Profile description:

Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and PCCWG teams

- Good ability to learn and assimilate new concepts and technologies.

- Good analytical, design and troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge of IP systems and networks
- Good knowledge of electrical and power systems
- Good knowledge of written and spoken French and English
- Ability to establish a trusting relationship with the customer and to provide a high quality service with passion.
- Understand the needs and expectations of customers and encourage other employees to do the same.
