Desotec’s mission is to protect our planet. We provide end-to-end purification solutions for pollution in air, water and other gases and liquids. We do this by supplying mobile activated carbon filters to our B2B customers all over Europe. We recycle our own saturated filters by taking back the spent activated carbon for reactivation, making our filter solutions circular.

As senior controller you are an analytical whizzkid who is able to make the link between figures and business.

  • You are a true ’business partner’. You support the business in achieving strategic objectives by providing important and accurate (financial) information and carrying out financial analyses.
  • You carry out checks on results in the context of month-end and year-end closing. You do this for all entities within our Group and in accordance with the legal obligations
  • You analyse and understand differences in the area of Budget & Reforecast
  • You prepare the consolidated reporting (financial & business) for the various stakeholders (management, banks, shareholders, different departments, etc.)
  • You focus on continuous optimisation and documentation of financial and accounting processes
  • You are responsible for CAPEX approvals and provide regular updates to the procurement team
  • You assist the finance team in ad hoc analyses and projects

Profile
  • You have a very strong analytical and mathematical mind, you delve into details and maintain a helicopter view
  • You have a Master’s degree in a financial discipline (TEW/economics/commercial engineering; with a major in accounting in each case)
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit, preferably in an industrial environment. Experience with variance analysis is a plus
  • Excel (and the use of modeling in Excel) has no secrets for you. Experience with JET is a plus
  • You have a critical mind, but deal with challenges in a pragmatic and problem-solving way
  • You work thoroughly, accurately and in a structured way
  • You are stress resistant and you meet deadlines
  • You communicate proactively with the business in order to gain a better understanding of the figures
