You work as part of a small team helping clients to solve complex problems – often starting with financial analysis and a review of the business plan outlining key drivers of client performance, and leading to recommendations for real change to improve our clients’ financial health. As a senior consultant you support the team in business development activities by researching opportunities and assisting with relevant campaigns and initiatives.

In addition, we differentiate ourselves by bringing multidisciplinary solutions to our clients. This means you proactively collaborate with professionals from other Corporate Finance Service Lines as well as other Service Offerings within the Deloitte network, such as Consulting, Tax & Legal, Audit & Enterprise Risk Services, and Accounting in Belgium and abroad.

As a Senior Consultant in Restructuring, your responsibilities include:

• Day to day project management. Autonomously but well connected within our practice, you will develop the right approach and lead a team that specialises in providing unique and independent solutions by adding measurable value at every stage of a turnaround
• Depending on the size of the case, a Senior Consultant is responsible for project deliverables in line with Deloitte’s high quality standards
• Interact at senior level at our clients and relationships
• Proactively liaise with other Service Offerings of Deloitte
• Supervise and be able to conduct analysis of financial statements, business & operating models
• Oversight of financial modelling, including analysing business forecasts, scenarios and cash flow/covenant calculations
• As a role model, develop and lead a team of enthusiastic and eager-to-learn professionals
• As a Senior Consultant, you will support with following up on leads through targeting, industry research and expertise as well as helping to leverage existing client relationships
  
  

Let’s Talk About You

To qualify for the role you must have the following demonstrated capabilities:

• University degree with a post-graduate degree in finance, management or economics
• Team player with 3-5 years of strong experience gained in another big4, a reputed strategy consulting house or corporate finance/corporate development in an international high performing company
• Mature business sense, enabling you to quickly understand trends and dynamics
• Logical and methodical approach to problem solving and self-confidence to convince stakeholders in sometimes volatile and ambiguous situations
• Strong storyboarding skills
• Rigorous numeracy skills to quickly analyse and synthesise data into a crisp and meaningful executive summary
• Ability to undertake/understand/oversee detailed financial/commercial analysis
• Commitment to deliver an exceptional results, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships based on trust
• Proven project management, leadership and organisational skills
• Self-confidence/appetite to be involved in client-facing business development activities
• Strong interpersonal skills to successfully network and ability to develop, coach and motivate junior team members
• Fluency in English, Dutch and French
