Senior Corporate Controller

To reinforce our Finance department, Virya Energy is looking for a Senior Corporate Controller.

• Support the Management Team in steering the value creation of the company
• Monitor the value creation of the different businesses/projects by using financial indicators in financial models and by challenging their business plan while safeguarding uniformity in analyses and assumptions
• Propose and analyze different financial structuring solutions at corporate or subsidiary level
• Provide financial support over the lifetime of the different projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Focus on value creation on both the operational as on the financial and fiscal level;
• Monitor both the short and long-term financial key aspects (cash planning,…) of the group to support potential investments and M&A
• Perform sensitivity analyses by means of financial models
• Perform due diligences
• Prepare financial presentations and reports for the relevant stakeholders (management team, board meeting, banks, shareholders)
• Conduct one-off or regular analyses on more specific and complex financial aspects in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders
• Participate and contribute to continuously improving reporting, controlling and planning processes
• Liaise with the different stakeholders and willing to travel abroad where and when needed

• You obtained a master’s degree in Corporate/Project Finance or equivalent training (education – CFA)
• You have at least five years of experience in a similar role
• You have a good ability to understand complex businesses and its interactions. In particular you have a good understanding of the financial, fiscal and regulatory aspects and their implications on the business and ability to generate value
• You are an advanced user of MS Office and you have experience in financial modelling
• You have in-depth knowledge of analytical and accounting concepts, and you are familiar with ERP and reporting systems
• You have a good knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS norms. Knowledge of consolidation is a plus
• You are familiar with corporate finance structuring
• You are able to track multiple projects and perform several tasks at the same time
• You are accurate and have strong analytical skills
• You have strong social and communicative skills and are able to work in team as well as autonomously
• You speak and write fluently in English, Dutch and French. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
