The Senior Cost Accountant / Financial Analyst,based in Leuven, Belgium, plays a critical decision-support role with our “Process Filtration” business partners. The “Process Filtration” business is a key part of our ‘advance and accelerate’ portfolio and one of the fastest growing businesses at Donaldson. This hands-on position is an integral part of our financial planning and analysis team, with the opportunity to regularly interact locally, regionally and globally. With our hybrid working policy in Leuven, we also offer great flexibility between remote work and being in the office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supporting the Process Filtration business unit (BU) director with insights on all finance related matters, covering P&L, Balance Sheet (BS) and Cash Flows
• Conducting quarterly forecasting and yearly planning together with the BU director and the management team
• Writing monthly and quarterly financial business reviews, providing valuable insights for the management team
  • Assess monthly P&L and BS reporting, and conduct corrective actions where needed
  • Prepare monthly P&L and BS reporting (Market P&L and NOI/ROI)
  • Review sales and margins to ensure compliance with Donaldson Accounting Standards including revenue recognition
  • Analyze the open order book
  • Work with management to help improve efficiencies, reduce cost or other actions that may be necessary
• Pro-actively highlighting potential areas for discussions
• Assisting and supporting on other tasks as apparent.
• Present financials at the monthly management meeting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of professional level finance experience
• Strong analytical skills and communication skills, alongside a critical mindset
• Proficiency with Excel and financial analysis reporting tools
• A real team player capable of interacting with all levels in the organization
• High level of English, any other language is an asset (NL/FR/GE)
• Strong proficiency with reporting tools
