Job Purpose

Monitor refurbishment, repositioning or development programs on assets already managed by AXA IM Real Asset or on new opportunities

Key Accountabilities

• To elaborate different strategies for creation, transformation, demolition, reconstruction or refurbishment of real estate assets (all asset classes) either within existing portfolios or with new deals
• To identify, generate and study opportunities for investments and/or partnerships across the Benelux region
• To perform negotiations of investments, developments or joint ventures.To monitor underwriting of assets
• To perform business plans, ensure consistency with investors’ strategy, obtain approval from investors/FM or Investment Committee and implement the action plan
• To assess and control the risks related to real estate development projects, as agreed by the client
• To monitor the project managers in charge of all aspects concerning the execution of the projects
• To perform the regular reporting on project status
• To ensure that all requirements are carefully monitored in terms of budget control and report updates
• To perform the editing of legal, financial, administrative and technical documentation related to the new developments and authorized projects
• To select and appoint the different service providers and advisors
• To drive the product positioning, within the framework of the investment objectives
• To manage or coordinate the marketing/letting/disposals of projects
• To represent the owner in all situations related to the execution of the projects
• To partner and communicate with all internal and external stakeholders. To interface with the other departments of AXA IM Real Assets and especially with Asset Management, Transactions and Fund Management teams

QUALIFICATIONS

Role Requirements

Education/Qualifications

• High school or University degree
• Preferably Engineer and/or architectural background

Experience

• Long experience in a similar role or in a relevant professional context
• Proven network and capabilities to generate investment opportunities
• Previous team management responsibilities
• Experience and understanding of asset management, letting and disposals

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency of the real estate building trades and products
• Connections with the main actors of the real estate industry (investors, developers, real estate funds…)
• Excellent Real Estate network and international background
• Sensitivity on the risks of development
• Knowledge of the legal statement and process applied to the real estate industry
• Knowledge of urbanism and construction laws
• Knowledge of taxes and duties applied to real estate
• Fluent in English, French and Dutch
