• Ensure that engineering roadmaps on release development, testing and bug fixes reflect customer views and experiences from the fields – continuous monitoring of customer concerns and taking part in customer facing meetings are some examples needed to carry-out to fulfil such responsibilities
• Work closely with customer success, PLM and engineering organisations on various aspects of software release quality across all product platform
• Support the OLA manager to follow up actions with engineering point of contacts on priority tickets or others concern raised by customer success team
• Proactively be engaged with our engineering teams to exchange specific product requirements, validate new product features and the integration of various components to ensure a delivery ready product
• Support engineering organisations to root cause analysis on release issues where possible when reporting them in our systems
• Assist our technical writers in the creation of comprehensive product documentation - release notes, release test reports, release upgrade procedure etc. are some examples
• Maintain the confluence page for Customer Excellence on various customer concerns and engineering actions for continuous engineering improvements
• It is expected that a member of Customer Excellence team could be involved supporting other engineering PODs like Pulse back-end POD, PCP (Pulse Cloud Platform) POD, test automation POD, RVT (release validation test) test cases verification etc.
• Writing release quality report and supporting some ad-hoc customer request on documentation on release quality could be required.
• Attend in-house product training and meetings to gain and maintain an understanding of ST Engineering iDirect technologies, development and rel ease process, and other processes

QualificationsAs a prerequisite to become our Senior Release Quality Engineer, you:

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Sciences, Telecommunication, Aerospace)
• 8+ years of experience on software release engineering preferably with customer facing projects. Knowledge of ST engineering iDirect products is an advantage
• Knowledge of hardware and software solutions including requirement development, ability to articulate complex customer requirements into engineering actions
• Knowledge of Telecommunications/Satellite Communications technology is advantageous for this role
• Love to communicate with a broad range of technical experts and to share information
• Are inquisitive and like to learn daily
• Have a profound interest in satellite communication and new technologies
• Good oral, written, and presentation skills are desired for this role
