The Senior Manager Compensation & Benefits reports to the Director of Compensation & Benefits. The role manages the strategy, design and execution of our global compensation plans, for a rapidly growing business.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Global compensation management of scalable operations such as annual and in-year salary increases, job matching & benchmarking, compensation tool management, Workday support, and compensation analytics.


  • Global compensation management of base salary, bonus and equity plans for designs, budgets, guidance and communications.


  • Review, design and delivery of compensation strategies for our business segments including technology, product and marketing roles, regional account management and customer service roles and internal support roles of HR and finance;


  • Review and updating of global compensation including guides, guidelines, eligibilities, policies, governance and trainings to enable global scalability with local autonomy and relevance;


  • Stakeholder management with HR functional and operational teams, especially HR Business partners for the global functions and regions, with the communication team, with financial planning and accounting teams and the leadership team;


  • Collaborate and partner with managers responsible for other areas of Booking.com’s employee experience to create, communicate and deliver the best and most relevant compensation products for Booking.com’s diverse group of people and roles around the world.


Required Skills:

  • 8-12 years’ experience in compensation & benefits roles in an international environment
  • Management experience over multiple direct reports.
  • Strong understanding and capability with database and analysis tools such as Excel, Access, and Workday.
  • The ability to quickly zoom-in to details and analysis, to zoom-out for the big picture of the business and discretion to know when the different points of view are valuable.
  • Enthusiastic collaborator and influencer, to partner with others from HR to leadership, across our regions, and with other departments and achieve results together.
  • You enjoy brainstorming, seek inspiration and consider how to innovate and deliver on compensation to drive the business in ways outside of best practices.
