Job Description
In Corporate Governmental Affairs of Robert Bosch GmbH, we are searching for a Senior Manager Research and Innovation Policy, Focus Microelectronics/Semiconductors- German Speaking
The position is based in Brussels.
Your Tasks
- Represent R&D&I interests of the Bosch Group, with a focus on the topic of microelectronics/semiconductors, towards the EU institutions and national governments;
- Support the design, structure and content of multi-national initiatives for microelectronics and its enabling technologies (e.g. Chips Act, IRA, IPCEI);
- Engage actively in political discussions with the EU institutions and corresponding organizations;
- Pre-competitive partnership and alliance management with other stakeholders along the value chain, including NGOs, customers, competitors, suppliers and academics;
- Analyze the landscape for microelectronics to initiate and support cooperations;
- Drafting of position papers and briefings for senior management;
- Follow discussions on relevant topics and keep close contacts with relevant internal Bosch stakeholders;
- Represent Bosch at conferences, attend committee and association meetings;
- Deepen the Bosch network with the Brussels-based innovation community and establish cross-links to German decision makers;
- Discuss policy opportunities with Bosch departments and provide general support.
Qualifications
- University graduate, preferably with a public policy background and in-depth knowledge of R&D policy as well as a strong understanding of technical issues;
- Demonstrable work experience in the area of innovation policy or within the scientific community;
- Understanding of EU decision-making;
- Ideally understanding of German policy processes;
- Ability to represent Bosch externally, with very good presentation and negotiation skills;
- Convincing, flexible and reliable team player with strong analytical skills and ready to take initiative;
- Ability to work under pressure and independently on a tight deadline.
- Fluent in German and English (both is a must)
