As Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the manufacturing processes in the Sintered Metal department of Tenneco Plant (Sint-Truiden, Belgium). You will analyze all process parameters and divide them into constants and variables, with the goal to transform them to obtain a consistent stable process.You will work closely with the maintenance engineer, colleague process engineer, quality engineer, tooling engineer, production team, suppliers, and contractors.Some of the e ssential duties:
  • Technical/economical evaluation at the purchase of machinery, tooling, automation projects
  • Perform method study of operator tasks as input for the Standard Work instruction sheets and balancing of operator workload over a combination of machines,
  • Establish and drive improvement plans for equipment uptime
  • Provide input to the development and cost estimation of new products and processes
  • Submit CAR’s and executes according to plan
  • Introduce, evaluate, and accept standard equipment in the plant
  • Issues proposals regarding capacity planning for short and long-term investments with corresponding manpower in cooperation with the technical expert

  • Industrial engineering in (electro)mechanics
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Fluent English
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
  • PLC-knowledge
