DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS AND THE SCOPE OF COMPETITION

The following tasks will be performed:

  • User guidance and support regarding the use of Horizon Data Intelligence information systems / ICT tools
  • Follow-up of incidents related to Horizon Data Intelligence Information Systems, access to data, data quality, development of ad hoc reports and organization of the reporting
  • Follow-up of user requests
  • Follow-up of bug reports
  • Document knowledge, and known issues and transfer this knowledge to colleagues
  • Categorize and prioritize incoming tickets correctly and escalate where needed


LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree of 3 years.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above-listed tasks:

  • Good IT skills
  • Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects
  • Knowledge of Qliksense is a plus
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus
  • Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent capacity to communicate technical concepts with a non-technical audience
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to apply high-quality standards
  • Knowledge of EU policies and EU institutions is a plus


Due to the particular nature of a large international organization such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

  • The capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team
  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, on multiple large projects
  • Excellent Team Player
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English C1
  • A high degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained contain personal and confidential data.


SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

The following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

  • at least 4 months of specific expertise in SAP Business Objects
