Skills, knowledge, experience required:
  • Experience of Unix/Linux operating systems, as well as MS Windows Servers;
  • Expert knowledge at least one of the two:
  • Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016 or SharePoint 2019”;
  • NGINX or Apache;
  • Knowledge and practical working experience of Microsoft Windows server operating systems (latest versions) in a LAN-based client-server environment using Active Directory Services/LDAP;
  • Knowledge of the issues and techniques of information processing and web services and storage facilities, including practical analytical experience of IT servers and system architecture implementations;
  • Good understanding of middle tier solutions (Microsoft SharePoint Portal, Oracle Forms, WebLogic);
  • A good understanding of more advanced architectures like server clustering and virtual infrastructures;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities allowing to analyze database related problems including the ability to think beyond the database space;
  • A good awareness of access security and knowledge on security policies implementation with good understanding and knowledge of systems usability;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Duties/role:
  • Maintaining, supporting and technical integrity of Web Hosting Platform Services;
  • Administrating of large SharePoint farms, managing and checking the overall server health and quality;
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading, migrating large web platform systems (e.g. SharePoint, IIS, Apache);
  • Liaising with the customer to identify required changes to the business functions;
  • Troubleshooting technical issues promptly;
  • Performing daily work on the system to ensure platform stability and backend consistency;
  • Undertaking activities required to upgrade managed services as directed by the Chief of section.
