About The Role

Since we moved very recently all activities to our brand new Global Distribution Center in Lokeren, we are now looking for a Site HSE Coordinator.

It’s our ambition to ’ Go for Zero’ ( O accidents, 0 quality incidents, 0 impacts and 0 delays) which leads Barry Callebaut to look for a HSE Coordinator for the GDC in Lokeren. In this role you will partner with local management teams, local workers and unions in order to reach the zero accidents’ culture througout the site.

Key Responsibilities Include

At Barry Callebaut the HSE coordinator is responsible for:
  • Ensuring a climate within the function of trust and accessibility for all customers by acting as an employee advocate and facilitator
  • Reporting conclusions of your functional and risk analyses to the management team, customers and all other relevant stakeholders in the organisation
  • Being creative in finding new ways of working in order to improve the department effectiveness
  • Providing professional guidance and support to customers by delivering trainings and workshops, advising about legislation etc.
  • You report to the site manager GDC and a functional line to the HSE manager Wieze
About You
  • Master Degree or Bachelor degree with a relevant first experience in HSE.
  • You obtained a Health & safety Degree Level 2 (European).
  • You obtained a degree as environmental coordinator level B or you are willing to obtain it.
  • As a person you are a mature team player who is also able to work independently.
  • As a person you are analytical, flexible and creative in finding ways to motivate and inspire all levels within the company.
  • You are fluently in Dutch and can easily liaise with all stakeholders within the organization.
