Job Opportunity: Storage Solutions Engineer

Job Mission:

Join our dynamic storage team within the Global Operations Division. We specialize in providing cutting-edge services to fast-growing clients and various divisions within our organization.

As a Storage Solutions Engineer, your primary mission is to deliver and support enterprise storage solutions, ensuring stable services that meet our customers’ evolving needs. Collaboration with multiple teams, customers, and third parties, will be crucial to identify and implement the best technical solutions, ultimately achieving the desired results.

Your role extends to all aspects of managing and setting up storage environments, including handling complex performance analysis and troubleshooting. Additionally, we encourage you to leverage your expertise to identify opportunities for process and service enhancement, providing guidance and coaching to the international team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with an international team to build and manage cloud storage environments and dedicated customer environments.
• Work with senior engineers to establish standards and best practices for the environments.
• Act as the go-to person and product owner for specific technologies.
• Develop and maintain technical procedures, manuals, and processes.
• Independently handle projects and provide assistance as needed.
• Participate in standby availability schedules (rotation every 8 weeks) and planned maintenance windows.
• Contribute to a third-line operational role with senior colleagues (rotation every 7 weeks).
• Show interest in and contribute to automation-related tasks.
• Share knowledge through coaching and follow-up sessions with team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position.
• Hands-on experience with operating, managing, and implementing enterprise storage systems.
• Extensive expertise inHpe Primera/Alletra technologies (focus).
• Proficient in Brocade SAN technology and its concepts.
• Good knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with bash scripting is a plus.
• Familiarity with IBM SAN storage technologies and/or Dell PowerMax is a plus.
• Experience with Netapp or Dell NAS storage technologies and their concepts is a plus.
• High analytical thinking capability to independently investigate and solve complex issues.
• Strong desire to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work from home and our office in Hasselt (Flexible).
