About the job????????‍????

We are seeking a diligent and tech-savvy IT Student Assistant to help manage our hardware inventory and ensure smooth operations. This role is ideal for a student currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related field, who is looking to gain practical experience in IT. You will collaborate with the HR team as well as our CTO / infrastructure manager.

You can do the student job during the summer on a full time basis or during the academic year for 1/day week.

What do we expect from you?

  • Hardware Management: Oversee and maintain the company’s hardware inventory, including computers, Iphone, and other IT equipment.
  • Computer Stock Management:Track and manage the inventory of computers and peripherals, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper documentation.
  • Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all hardware assets, including purchase dates, warranty information, and current status.
  • Setup and Configuration:Assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware, including installing software and ensuring all systems are operational.
  • Troubleshooting:Provide basic troubleshooting support for hardware issues and escalate complex problems to senior IT staff.
  • User Support:Assist employees with hardware-related inquiries and provide guidance on best practices for hardware use.
  • Asset Disposal:Manage the proper disposal and recycling of obsolete or damaged hardware in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of computer hardware (MacOS), operating systems, and software installation.
  • Basic knowledge of development
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
