The Support Operations Manager is responsible for the timely implementation of new projects in the field of Demand Response and Demand Side Management for Industrial loads and generators.
Following implementation, the Support Operations Manager will be responsible for the follow up of the day-to-day operations and maintain the existing installations, including coordination with internal and external stakeholder.
Location:Antwerp, with UK travel
Key Accountabilities
Provide pre-sales support to the Sales team to remove any boundaries for signature of new flexible resources
Manage the technical kick-off meetings at the customer site with multi-disciplinary teams: automation/electrical/IT/production/subcontractors
Explain the technical concepts and finds pragmatic solutions for the project, together with all involved stakeholder
Sets the plan and ensures follow-up of installation timelines for several projects in parallel
Models and documents “FlexTract” installations in the CBS “FlexPond” infrastructure
Performs remote commissioning and prequalification tests on the proprietary software systems of CBS
Ensures availability of the portfolio of flexible assets through the efficient follow-up and dispatching of on-site interventions
Manage and optimise the maintenance planning based on technical and economic risk assessments together with the internal and external stakeholders
Provide support and contingency to the Operations Manager who covers Europe
Competencies
Essential:
Knowledge of automation engineering on industrial level PLC/DCS/SCADA integration, industrial communication protocols. Understanding of industrial processes
Basic understanding of network and IT infrastructure
Ability to drive decision making
Professional and structured communication style, both internally and externally
Deliverable focused with an entrepreneurial and hands-on attitude
Ability to work as a team player but also able to work independently with a can-do attitude
Technical and analytical capabilities
Desirable:
Electrical commissioning, experience with automation systems installation
Proven experience of the UK energy markets and associated services relevant to Demand Side customers
Professional qualification in electrical/electronic/automation engineering or equivalent through experience
Additional Competencies
Autonomous and self-motivated professional with hands-on mentality
Good people skills and client-oriented approach
Ability to coordinate various internal subject-matter experts to put together a complete solution (teamwork, agility)
