As the Technical Application Specialist, you will work closely with the business teams and be the primary contact to provide technical support for Core Business applications to CTIF-CFI internal and external users.
You have general knowledge of the technologies, applications, networking and security and more specific you must become highly knowledgeable about the CTIF-CFI specific Core Business applications and stay up to date with the constant changes and developments in the technologies and business requirements.
The technical application specialist responsibilities include developing up system strategies, work with system administration team, assist and perform system development plans, resolve problems related to integration deliverables, maintain relevant system documentation etc.
Some key tasks and responsibilities as an Technical Application Specialist are:
  • Support IT Business manager requests and translate to a specification and bring the solution
  • Architectural, stay aligned with the IT architecture and assess design decisions
  • Problem solving, support IT teams on problems
  • Keep a track on integration projects and ensure that they meet business requirements and goals
  • Fulfil the end user requirements
  • Identify and resolve the technical system issues
  • Making recommendation of the integration products and services by carrying out proper researches
  • Collaborate with the users to identify the features that might be of value to CTIF-CFI
  • Work with the data analysts, system owners, and business owners to lead in the integration and testing phase
  • Communicate with the software providers to address any problem in the program logic
  • Checking for any issues with the operation of the application with the existing system software and applications
  • Assist other teams to improve the business processes
  • Minimizing the impact of integration on various existing processes
  • Evaluating the results of the integration projects and preparing reports for the same
  • Train the employees on new application features
  • Provide troubleshooting, coaching and training for team members to enhance ability to handle similar situations in the future

Competenties

  • Proven (technical) experience with multiple business solutions, preferably with solutions on the Microsoft stack
  • Understanding of programming, .NET Programming, and frameworks
  • Understanding of Windows OS, web hosting and networking
  • Understanding of database engineering using SQL development
  • Knowledge about various architectures and protocols such as REST, XML, and SOAP
  • Knowledge about secure communication, digital certificated, and PKI
  • Strong experience with data architecture and application architecture
  • Experience of managing ETL Solutions into an enterprise scale environment
  • The working languages are English, Dutch and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. The levels relate to the Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).
