Are you looking to take your career to the next level.Our Research and Development Innovation Centre in Brussels is the largest R&D centre in Europe . The R&D Fabric & Home Care Business Unit, are looking for a hands-on Laboratory Assistant to support Our Researchers and Senior Scientists to execute and develop Characterization methods for some of our Global brands.You will contribute to many different factors that influence or impact product performance evaluations for some of our iconic brands such as Ariel, Dreft, Lenor, Downy and Flash.“Do something that matters.
  • Keep the characterization toolbox operational by planning and executing the maintenance & performance verification program as well as assisting supplier interventions.
  • Maintain the stock of all instrument and lab consumables as well as standard reference materials assuring the characterization lab is always kept functioning.
  • Perform already existing analysis of particle size, shape, microscopy, and other techniques - Supporting the development of new methods under supervision of the MSUC Lab Researcher or Senior Scientist.
  • Take ownership of the instruments for MSUC and run most of the work independently, by driving to continuously improve work processes and maintaining the right Housekeeping standard in the MSUC Lab.

Qualifications

Apply if you have:
  • A secondary school qualification or ideally a ‘Belgium Graduaat’ in a Chemistry related subject.
  • Business fluent English.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment - Procurement of raw materials, planning and recording of experiments.
  • Collaboration and agility.
  • Attention to detail - Ability to collect, structure and communicate data efficiently to the team.
