Responsibilities

This Technical Service & Application Development Representative function will be supporting customers in mainly Benelux & Germany.

Specific Responsibilies Include
  • Assist customers with part & mould design, plastic processing, troubleshooting procedures, material handling,… when qualifying our polymers.
  • Responsible for material recommendations converting the voice of the customer into “Critical To Quality”-parameters driving product selection and development
  • Attend internal and external trials to evaluate material processing.
  • Keep up to date with market, application and processing technology developments including competitive material and competing technology developments
  • Identify & document industry and customer specific unmet needs and product fitness for use criteria
  • Provide technical product training to customers, distributors and sales & marketing teams
  • Help develop technical marketing materials for customer engagement
  • Partner with Product Development team to deliver products meeting market needs and adding value to Eastman
Qualifications
  • Bachelor or MSc in Polymer Science, Engineering, … preferred
  • Strong technical background and hands-on experience in plastics processing, particularly in film, sheet and profile extrusion;
  • Knowledge in injection molding, injection blow molding, extrusion blow molding or anything else
  • Excellent customer facing experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory
