Job Description / MissionAs a member of the CT Motor Competence Center, you will participate in the preparation and execution of technology- or product-development projects for innovative drive systems for compressors, vacuum pumps and generators, targeting different product divisions within Compressor Technique. These are critical in the achievement of our companies science based targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. You will co-operate with various international suppliers of components & sub-systems, relevant research institutions and the product development teams. You will:
  • become an expert of electro-magnetic, mechanic and electric motor integration aspects,
  • efficiently manage relevant technology development projects,
  • use, develop and manage relevant sizing and analysis tools,
  • contribute to the development of our digital twin platform.
  • participate in design reviews and support investigations on motor related quality issues,
  • provide sizing support to new product development projects,
  • provide engineering advice for the use of drive systems in different applications,
  • continuously follow up on worldwide technology trends in your field of expertise,
  • continuously follow up on product & marketing trends in the various customer divisions,
Your competence will focus on aspects of new, innovative and integrated electrical motors and generators. Your main responsibilities are
  • the development of new solution ideas, concepts & products related to the electro-magnetic & thermal aspects of integrated motors in compressors,
  • the participation in the development & maintenance of our technology roadmap,
  • the management of technology development projects,
  • the design and testing of integrated electrical motors & their components,
  • the generation of test programs, follow-up on test-execution, results reporting & documentation of conclusions,
  • the technical communication with external suppliers & development partners.
You report to the team leader of the Competence Center for Motors.Knowledge / Educational RequirementsYou have at least a Master degree in electro-mechanical engineering (or equivalent), with several years of experience in the application and design of electrical machines. Experience in project management of electrical drive train design and manufacturing is an asset.
