The PositionWe are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Software Test Automation Engineer who would like to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
You will work in our Software business unit , where we provide companies a platform of software tools that manage and control their 3D printing process more efficiently, allowing our customers to meet the highest standards of the most demanding industries.
As a Test Automation Engineer you will be part of our SDK squad and you’ll be responsible for devising and developing testing procedures in an agile development process. You will support the SDK squad to define the high level acceptance criteria of new requirements and translate these into test cases. Supported by your development team members, you are responsible for defining the test plans and test reports.
The work in the team involves in-depth work with 3D and 2D geometrical objects, 3D-printing technologies and ecosystem deployments.
Qualifications & Experience Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for developing automated testing procedures and technology;
- You will define, design and write tests and test plans, based on acceptance criteria
- Define high level acceptance criteria of new requirements and translate these into test cases;
- Perform manual and automated acceptance/regression testing;
- Perform bug registration & verification of resolved bugs;
- Design, perform and maintain test automation.
- You will create test documentation in accordance with established procedures;
- You’ll perform early checks for stories being implemented;
- You’ll participate in planning/grooming sessions, providing estimates for delivery-scoped and tech tasks;
- You will have the opportunity to continuously improve our test framework and -processes and you will be able to connect with Test Engineers in other squads to improve & standardize Materialise’s test techniques;
- You will be supported by the development members in your squad.
Requirements
- You hold a Master degree (technical education or equivalent through experience)
- You have 3+ years of experience in automated testing;
- Affinity with (computational) geometry, matrices & vectors, … would be a major advantage (you’ll have to keep up with the squad’s discussions????);
- You’re skilled in Python scripting/programming. A background in C++ and C# would be a plus;
- You have both functional and non-functional testing experience (e.g. regression, integration, security, performance, UAT, smoke);
- You are curious, analytical and you have an eye for detail;
- You proactively take the necessary steps to turn your projects into successes;
- You like working as the testing expert in a multi-disciplinary agile team;
- You are fluent in in English (both orally and written).
