Job Description

Main Purpose:

The learning and development coordinator will have responsibility for the coordination and administration of a range of learning and development activities and projects as directed by the learning and development partner as well as ensuring the development and maintenance of robust learning and development systems and processes. These will include managing corporate induction, training administration, performance development scheme arrangements, supporting the provision of management information, and budget tracking. The role holder will be the first point of contact for learning and development queries and be responsible for all related administration, ensuring a get-it-right first-time ethos is adopted. Responsibilities will also include supporting the learning and development partner in ensuring the development and maintenance of robust learning management systems and processes.

Accountabilities:
  • Responsibility for monitoring and evaluating learning and organization development activities, producing accurate and up-to-date data analysis.
  • Establishing systems to record and produce regular reports on learning and development metrics, including spend, to agreed timescales
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
  • Developing and maintaining accurate and easily accessible records and processes for all learning and development activities and processes including recording and monitoring attendance, ensuring that staff required to attend specific workshops are easily identified and followed up.
  • Liaising with line managers and delegates to ensure all staff are booked on required events within agreed timeframes
  • Managing our annual mandatory training calendar ensuring full completion within targeted timescales and providing timely and accurate updates to people services partners and senior leaders
  • Developing and maintain productive working relationships with external providers of learning solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with all staff to sustain the reputation of the people services team as a customer-focused function
  • Arranging hospitality, room layout, and equipment for participants attending workshops and events, liaison with trainers, booking training rooms, printing and distributing course materials, and ensuring required equipment is available and in working order for the efficient running of all relevant events.

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Skills/Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience
  • Experience working within an L&D environment
  • Skilled communicator
  • Proven strong analytical skills/reasoning and eye for detail.
  • Well-structured mindset.
  • Demonstrated drive for results and a can-do attitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office modules (especially Excel)
  • Awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within manufacturing
