UCB France cherchant à développer son pôle biopharmaceutique en Belgique a besoin de ressources humaines aux compétences spécifiques afin de gérer depuis ce pôle la production de ses produits actifs dans le traitement des maladies auto-immunes.

UCB France cherche dès lors à renforcer les compétences locales par des ressources en VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) dans un but de maîtrise et d’optimisation de la compétitivité de ses productions distribuées à l’échelle mondiale.

Le site de Braine l’Alleud est spécialisé dans la synthèse chimique, le développement, la fabrication et le conditionnement de produits pharmaceutiques.


En tant que VIE Associate Scientist, vous rejoindrez l’équipe Downstream Process Sciences au sein du département Biotech Sciences. Vous rapporterez directement à/au Group Leader DSP Dev. & Piloting.


Vos missions :

  • Perform scale-down and scale-up downstream process development activities to support the progression of projects through the development stages.

  • Maintain the T2 DPS development labs in an operational, clean and safe manner:

  • This includes maintaining appropriate levels of consumables and other downstream purification supplies as well as maintaining all pieces of equipment and keeping a good track record of the maintenance of all equipment pieces as defined by the Line Manager.

  • Ensure that accurate and up-to-date documentation to support the work are maintained as required. Examples of documentation pieces are: SOPs, electronic batch records, lab notebooks, IP books, etc.

  • Collate, review and archive the tox batch records to ensure that timely release of the material to external stakeholders can be achieved, following data integrity procedures and rules.

  • Perform the collection, storage and shipment of non-GMP and GMP downstream purification samples.

  • Perform analytical analysis: SE-UPLC, ic-IEF, BioAnalyzer, and any other techniques required for the analysis of samples generated.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers (BioPilot process teams, UPS, T2 support teams (warehousing and systems), maintenance, metrology and external contacts (e.g. equipment and consumable suppliers).

  • Able to deliver presentations (English mandatory, French an asset).


Votre profil :


Engineer with practical knowledge of purification process development and analytical techniques.

  • Understanding of protein purification technologies.

  • Technical and theoretical knowledge in operation of laboratory scale chromatography and ultrafiltration equipment (Akta systems) as well as analytical techniques.

  • Understanding of cGMP manufacture and regulatory requirements for product development.

  • Prioritization and time management skills to effectively coordinate project requirements to meet agreed timelines.

  • Interpersonal skills to communicate and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers

  • Documentation of laboratory work is accurate, detailed and up to date.
