Internship opportunity: Visual Design & Communications Internship.

Location: Kleine Markt 7, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium

Timeframe: 3-6 months, 5 days a week. We currently prefer you start on Tuesday September 2nd, but this is flexible.

Description:

Join us in Antwerp for a hands-on and creative internship experience! As an intern, you’ll work closely with a small, passionate team to support the continued growth of Bakermat. You’ll contribute to projects across visual design, branding, marketing, community building and brand identity — helping define and strengthen the visual language and storytelling of our fabric shop, RE/SOURCE textile fair, and 3D material studio.

Key responsibilities:

Visual

• Create and organize content for social platforms. Built creative concepts and projects.
• Contribute to defining and improving visual communication and brand identity for RE/SOURCE and Bakermat.
• Assist in concept development for Bakermat Talks, workshops and future projects and events.
• Create product descriptions and assist in digitizing textiles for the virtual library and online shop.

Strategy

• Help define marketing strategies for textile digitization services, virtual fabric library, and store.
• Conduct market research for RE/SOURCE, workshops, and textile digitization services.
• Analyze performance across social media and website.

General

• Assist in project evaluation, reporting, and making recommendations.
• Support event organization and management tasks.
• Help, if needed, in daily tasks of store, event preparation or event management.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or other degree in relevant fields such as graphic design, content marketing, fashion, or branding.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and digital communication.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Keen eye for layouts, graphics, and textiles.
• Strong interest in the innovation of the fashion industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Plus: strong knowledge on textiles.
• Plus: experience in 3D software.
• Plus: written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and/or Italian.

This internship offers a unique chance to gain practical experience in shaping the branding and strategy of an emerging textile platform. You’ll collaborate with industry professionals, take part in key sector events, and contribute to inspiring, forward-thinking projects.
