Job Summary

At Avantor, we set science in motion to create a better world. To achieve this mission, we are currently looking for an Associate Product Line Manager
in the Netherlands. This position will enable growth for the Biopharma Production business unit by assisting Product Management leadership with execution of tactical and strategic initiatives. In this role you will work closely with the Product Manager to support the existing product portfolio.

YOUR RESPONSIBILTIES

  • You drive profitability through proactive portfolio lifecycle management.
  • You manage fluctuations while optimizing margin and pricing, you identify long-tail targets for obsolescence, and you recommend complementary products to drive profitable growth.
  • You support revenue growth targets through collaborative sales activities and opportunity pipeline development.
  • You plan and implement end of life activities for products being phased out.
  • You support Change Notification and Product Deviation processes, ensuring customer facing documentation is complete and receives customer approval.
  • You support the NPI stage gate process, ensuring all applicable marketing deliverables are completed on time.
  • You support supply chain, operations, quality, and production teams on key supply chain issues, capacity and resource allocation concerns and product line forecast validation. This to ensure the correct prioritization of business concerns and that the customer experience is managed appropriately.
  • You assist the Product Manager and Marketing Communications to develop clear and concise product-specific technical and marketing collateral for the field sales organizations and channel partners.
  • You assist the Product Manager in establishing an overall vision for all assigned products and in developing portfolio roadmaps: market analysis, competitor analysis, market strategy, and customer VOC.

  • You develop training materials and planning for internal departments on new product features and provide support to customers.
YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Sciences or equivalent.
  • You have 2 to 3 years’ experience working in the biopharma industry to understand competitive landscape.
  • You have 5 years’ experience working with customers and cross functionally with R & D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and sales.
  • Previous experience in product management and/or sales identifying market opportunities, developing marketing strategy, facilitating voice of the customer activities, and executing product launches preferred.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You have excellent writing and presentation skills and are proficient in MS Office.
  • You are willing to travel up to 20%.
