Position Description

To further expand our services, we are expanding the payments team and looking for ambitious Payments Business Analysts, who want to help build a leading Payments Practice.

In this role, you will become a Payments Business Analyst within CGI Financial Services Belgium and help our clients with their service innovations and system implementations in payments. You will deliver concrete results successfully from a good understanding of the client’s (strategic) objective and relevant market developments. You contribute to increasing CGI’s payments expertise and brand awareness in this area. You will do this together with the CGI payments practice.

Your day-to-day activities

You will be working for CGI, founded in 1976, one of the largest independent business and ICT service providers in the world. CGI works closely with its clients locally and complements this with its global distribution network, helping clients accelerate and digitise their results. • In Belgium, CGI is a supplier to all major banks.
• 40% of the total global FX settlement volume is processed by CGI’s payment systems.
• Over 20% of SWIFT payment transactions are settled by CGI’s payment systems.
• A leader in payment systems for over 40 years including helping banks implement (real-time) payments, open banking and request-to-pay.
  
  

What you need to be successful in this role?

• Master/Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ experience in one or more areas of: (banking) payments, such as SEPA Instant Payments, credit transfers, direct debits, international payments, Open Banking, SWIFT, clearing and settlement, payment requests.
• Strong analytical skills, experience in consultancy and eagerness to learn
• Eye for detail, without losing sight of the big picture
• You are a self-starter, with strong social skills, good communication and persuasiveness
• You can facilitate and lead workshops to get a good idea of the business needs and priorities within the project
• Ability to manage stakeholders, ensuring that customer requirements are clearly established, prioritised and defined/understood by both the customer and the development team
• Experience with Agile software development (Scrum, Kanban, etc) and experience working as a Product Owner
• Documentation methods and techniques for writing effective business reports, presentations and specifications
• Communication skills in Dutch and English
• Work pattern: due to the confidential nature of the work, we apply a hybrid work policy.
