The location for this position is Belgium, but travelling to the HQ of the Netherlands regularly is also necessary.

• Ensure we cover a local baker, butcher, cheese shop and all the cool (city specific) D2C brands in our assortment
• You identify new suppliers, negotiate prices and build-up & maintain relationships with them
• Constantly scan the market for new trends, brands and products to make sure Flink has the best assortment in each city
• Analyze key metrics to identify potential assortment improvements and derive strategies to improve supplier performance
• Ensure we have a perfect balance between stock-outs and product expirations
• Close cooperation with city managers and other category managers to ensure an optimal assortment in each location

• Very good market and product knowledge within the Belgium grocery industry. Work can be done from Belgium and visit our office in Amsterdam on a regular basis
• Gained first experience in purchasing or category management in the grocery industry
• Successfully completed a degree in business or a related field
• A commercial understanding paired with a good intuition and negotiation skills
• You are assertive and resilient, while also being flexible and pragmatic
• Very good communication skills, native in Dutch and fluent written and spoken in English
