European Schoolnet is searching for an enthusiastic trainee to support the activities of the EUN Academy for six months. The trainee will assist in European Schoolnet Academy (EUNA) communications activities, such as updating and maintaining the website and thesocial media profiles. The successful candidate needs to have a strong interest in communication and knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies, social media and innovation in education. During the internship, he/she will be working as part of a multinational team and will gain an insight into the work of an international non-profit organisation in education.
MAIN TASKS
  • Updating and maintaining the EUNA website
  • Maintaining and updating EUNA social media channels
  • Producing (collating, editing or drafting) content for the EUNA blog
  • Assisting in the production of announcements for EUNA mailing lists, course catalogues, and corporate newsletters
  • Assisting in the creation and dissemination of projects promo packs
  • Assisting in further development of EUNA website and liaising with EUN Technical team
  • Assisting with user support activities.
PROFILE AND SKILLS
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, journalism, media, education, international relations)
  • Fluent written and spoken English, additional languages are an asset
  • Experience with web editing and publishing: knowledge of web publishing tools (i.e. different Content Management Systems) and knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Interest and familiarity with corporate social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and Web 2.0 technologies
  • Strong organisational skills, flexibility, and ability to learn fast
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
USEFUL INFORMATION
  • Duration: 6-month internship starting in November 2021. Full time (38 hours / week).
  • Deadline for applications: Until the post is filled, early application is recommended.
  • Benefits: a stipend of 1000 €/month net for the duration of the internship and travel expenses support.
  • Location: European Schoolnet, Rue de Treves, 61, Brussels, Belgium. The position requires living in Belgium.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be EU citizens or possess a valid work permit for Belgium.
