About the ChallengeAre you a data buff with a knack for languages and do you care deeply about topics such as sustainability and reducing harmful emissions? Would you like to contribute to a greener society while using your talent for data management and technical skills? Our client, a global player in materials technology, is looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer to contribute to the development of a modern data platform with the objective to maximize business insight.As Data Warehouse Engineer, you will play a key technical role in building and maintaining data analytics and data science solutions. You will analyze requirements, define conceptual data models, develop and support analytical models using TimeXtender or other Azure technologies, such as Data Factory and Databricks. A small part of the job is dedicated to incident handling and helpdesk support for Power BI.You will be based in Brussels, though occasional travel to other national and international sites will be required.Your SkillsYou have amature, assertive and dynamic personality, with excellent interpersonal skills. You’re ateam player with strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit. You are customer-oriented, result-driven and committed to quality. You’re organized and can plan your work according to business priorities.You Have Worked Hard For The Following Requirements
  • You hold a Master’s degree in IT, Mathematics or Economy
  • You have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the ETL and Data Warehouse domains, and/or in the Business Intelligence domain
  • You have excellent analytical skills and strong knowledge of dimensional modelling
  • You have a good understanding of self-service BI governance
  • You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French. German is a plus.

  • Data visualization: Power BI (optional: QlikSense)
  • Data warehouse: Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Lake
  • ETL: TimeXtender (optional: Azure Data Factory & Databricks)
