Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge the DBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL Server and PostgreSQL) and sound experience on at least two;
  • Good understanding of MySQL High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions (MySQL InnoDB Cluster, MySQL InnoDB Replicaset , MySQL InnoDB ClusterSet , MySQL Replication) ;
  • Good understanding of Oracle Analytics with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) .

Duties/role:

  • Monitoring the performance of assigned systems and the definition and implementation of adequate measures ensuring an optimal performance and high availability of the DB services;
  • Defining DB backup strategies and ensuring a valid and maintained recovery plan is in place;
  • Defining and implementing an upgrade strategy to keep the DB environment current .
