Deputy Accounting Manager M/W/X

You will be in direct contact with the CFO and you will have the following responsibilities:

• Supervise and coach a team of 14 accountants;
• Supervise that all financial accountancy work is carried out correctly to ensure that correct postings are secured and that the financial reports are reflecting the company’s actual situation;
• Prepare & submit timely and accurate monthly, quarterly & yearly closings: including the parent companies of the Group in Belgium and Europe
• Coordinate, prepare and assist audits by statutory, external and internal auditors;
• Propose and implement actions to simplify and optimize the accounting process;
• Coordinate and verify the VAT and other tax returns
• Prepare ad hoc reports based on current needs and/or requests.

• Bachelor/ Master degree in Accounting /Finance
• Around 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Fluent in Dutch and French
• Strong analytical skills and good communicator
• Team player but able to work autonomously
• Good coaching qualities
• Stress resistant, accurate, deadline minded
• Hands-on mentality
• Sap knowledge is an asset
