Job description Digital Change Engineer

Key responsibilities include

● Within the Belgian CI team you are responsible for improving the daily operations through the use of digital technology. You work across departments, supporting the MES roll out plan.

● You act as a true coach towards the operators and the line management and create a data driven culture in line with the CI strategy.

● You increase the MES capabilities of all operational stakeholders by on the job training, from operator up to department manager.

● You support the daily routines by explaining the operating standards including the “why” and you identify improvement opportunities.

● You analyze the available data and keep track of the MES business impact (financial & non-financial).

● You work closely together with the process engineering team and the digital team and you aim for the perfect balance between technology, processes and people.

● You are a change agent of MES, promoting the use of digital tools by showing positive impact that they bring to the organization and people.

About you

● Master degree in Industrial, Bio or Civil Engineering.

● 2 - 5 years of experience in a Process, CI or Operational role.

● Results-oriented team player with deep listening and influencing skills.

● Well organized and structured.

● Good presentation skills, able to communicate thoughts in a crisp, structured way.

● Experience in change management/project management and problem-solving techniques.

● Capable to drive initiatives without direct authority or line management responsibility.

● Broad interest in process technology and strongly attracted by the chocolate industry.

● Able to easily switch between a department level ‘business’ view and the smallest shop floor detail.

● Confident in front of a large audience, convincing people through drive and enthusiasm.

● Able to use analytical tools and common office software - considered as a plus (one or more):

● Basic Experience with data analytics tools & data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/qlickview/SSRS/Minitab/Excel/...)

● Basic experience with data historian (IP21/Honeywell/OSI PI/Wonderware)

● Basic experience with MES systems (Rockwell/Simatic/Wonderware/Apriso/... )

● Basic programming skills (purpose to be able to better communicate functional requirements to the development team).

● Fluent in French (must!), English and Dutch.

● Able to be onsite in Halle on a daily basis.
